Wontons are Chinese dumplings. Square shaped dough wrappers are filled with meat, veggies, and spices, then deep fried. Anything deep fried is amazing right? You can also boil and add to soups.

You can eat wontons plain or dip in
- Sweet thai chili sauce
- Shoyu
- Sweet and sour sauce
How do you store wonton?
Wontons are best eaten fresh. If by some miraculous reason there are leftovers, it can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few days. When ready to eat, reheat in the toaster oven or fry again to bring back the crunch. You can also freeze the wrapped wontons before they are fried. Be sure to lay the wonton flat when freezing to prevent sticking.

Heat oil in a wok or pot on medium high to about 350-375F. In a large mixing bowl combine beef, pork, green onion, kamaboko, water chestnut, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Place a heaping tablespoon of the mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Use your finger tip to spread a small amount of water along two edges of the wonton wrapper. Bring the opposite corners together forming a triangle and firmly press the edges to seal. Place wonton in oil and fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes each side. Remove wonton and place on a paper towel to drain the excess oil. Serve immediately.
