OverviewThe Staff Accountant will be responsible for reconciling accounts and recording journal entries for company accounts. They will also help prepare financial statements as well as support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Core ResponsibilitiesThe Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Reconciling bank statements and company accounts
• Preparing and adjusting journal entries to be posted into the ledger
• Assisting with month end close
• Create and prepare financial statements
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (relative experience may be considered)
• 2+ years of general accounting experience (reconciliations, month end close, etc.)
• Experience in a product driven industry would be a plus
• Strong Excel skills (Able to create pivot tables, vlookups, basic formulas)
• Proficient within an ERP system
• Ability to be coachable and eager to learn
• Skillfully be able to multitask and work independently as needed

Additional Information

• The position will operate on a fully in office schedule at their office location in Mountainside, NJ
• This position is a direct placement role offering a quality benefits package and other amenities
• This role will compensate in the $65,000 to $75,000 range pending one's level of experience
